Me vs The Selfie Studio

Sometimes you go into a battle, knowing you are ready. However, there can be a thought in your mind if you planned well enough. Months ago, I started communication with one of my fellow Brookland Baptist members. Angela is on the Praise Team, led by the legend John Lakin. Me: I’m just the lowly camera man. lol. We entered into conversation about me capturing her STYLE for her 40th Birthday. Although Angela’s is known throughout these United States as THE QUEEN OF THE SELFIE STUDIO, I felt as if I could do some justice.

We figured we’d manuever the city of Columbia for her birthday images. Although she attended the University of South Carolina, there were a few spots around the city she wasn’t familiar with. She trusted me enough to pick the location(s) for our session. I challenged myself to find some cool angles to compliment the young lady who has hobbies of reading, singing, spending time with family/friends, traveling and experiencing new adventures. Speaking of new adventures, I’m beyond happy for this North Charleston native. In early 2021, she opened Inspired Wellness, LLC., where she is the Psychotheraptist/Business Owner, specializing in Counseling and Therapy. FANCY! I likes.

And that is how the battle ended. The Selfie Queen and I met in the middle of the battle field to call the battle a win in favor of me. Angela left pleased and I left blessed she chose me to experience her 40th birthday pictorial explosions. Much success to this Business Owner and singer of the gospel.
