We never know where life will take us but we should always be kind during our journey. Whether it be living in the country or in the city, be kind. Whether it be while being employed by the largest employer in Columbia or the smallest shop, don’t be mean. Even if it is at church or at the night club, be sweet.
After relocating to Columbia, one of the first persons I met was Renitta. She and I were weekly participants of bible study and eventually ended up being on the same choirs: The Effie Boykin Sanctuary Choir and Charles B. Jackson Singers of Brookland Baptist Church. Coupled with also being both employed with BlueCross BlueShield of SC, I befriended the young lady they called RED. She always appeared happy & helpful. It could be because of her rearing from The Emerald City (aka Greenwood, SC). Some would say it’s because she’s a graduate of the University of South Carolina. I feel it is a part of her personality and her consistency.
I was deeply honored when she reached out to me to capture moments of her 50th Birthday. It said to me she trusted me as a professional to document a life milestone. Needless to say I was excited but felt a little pressure when she explained to me that our session would be her first professional photo session. OUCH! No pressure. Let’s do it ….
When the last click of the shutter was pressed, I walked away with having made my friend (turned client) into a happy camper. I pride myself in exceeding my client’s expectations. Renitta expressed her gratitude for me making her feel comfortable during our session. Awww yeah!!!
Having this being the first week of the NFL, I hope September 13th was a marvelous day for her. I am sure that she enjoyed her favorite sport (football) and her time away vacationing. I pray that when we meet later this week for the delivery of her wall art and photo album, she is excited! Why do you ask? I would say that because my clients deserve the best. And besides, over the years we have known each other, she has consistently been sweet: Just as sweet as she wants to be … now at 50.
Well, this is where I get off. Chat at you. Be ez … click clique.
Love this! Happy Birthday Renitta!
